Commitment
The expectation is that all members commit to singing in the concerts for which they have been rehearsing.
Choir rehearsals are a vital part of DCU’s on-going pursuit of excellence in performance. Rehearsals are designed to improve the quality of the music performed, so it is expected that members spend time between rehearsals in further practice. The choir can provide support to help with this through, for example, the provision of audio practice files.
Regular attendance is essential. Any member whose attendance falls below 70% in any term is asked to consider whether or not he/she is sufficiently prepared to perform in the concert.
If members are unable to participate in rehearsals due to minor illness, then they are encouraged to still attend rehearsal to listen.
